'From The Ark' [Triptych]

From The Ark by David Begley was painted in 2004 and first exhibited as part of 'Athos & Oriel'. It is painted over three large wooden panels each measuring 7.417Ft x 4ft. The combined dimensions are 12ft x 7.417Ft, in the ratio of 'phi'.

This is the ratio of Fibonnachi's Golden Section - also used in 'The Resurrection' [2002] Beneath the composition of 'From The Ark' there is a Fibonnachi Spiral. This now makes up the curve of the asymmetrical arc which curves over the top of the work.

'From The Ark' is one of a series of works based on the Sacred Theme.
